Mercedes-Benz has just presented that Mercedes-AMG E63 Sedan at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The car is about to be offered on the market in March 2017. Recently, new espionage footage shows that the luxury car manufacturer is preparing another E-Class variant with the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé.
The espionage recordings show the 2018 E-Class Coupé in a transported truck. Surprisingly, the car has no camouflage. Only the lights, the logo in the front grille and the glass in the rear passenger compartment are covered with a cover.
Basically, Mercedes keeps most of the design elements of the E-Class sedan in the new coupe, with the exception of the lack of the B-pillar and the revised rear section. After all, the coupe still uses the same MRA platform as its sedan. The source said the car has the “CL-like” look.
The enclosed areas indicate where the changes will take place. The source of the espionage footage speculates that the headlights and taillights of the new E-Class coupe may be similar to the S-Class coupe, as they appear to be sharper than those of the C-Class due to the espionage shots.
It is very likely that the 2018 E-Class Coupe will be upgraded in the engine department. The new Inline six-cylinder from Mercedes is a possible candidate.
The world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé 2018 is expected to take place next year at the Detroit or Geneva Motor Show.
