Unfortunately, Mercedes-Benz knocks down the SLK nameplate in its future production. Based on the recently revealed new nomenclature system The successor to the current Mercedes-Benz SLK will instead be named SLC to reflect that the roadster comes from the SL and is somehow related to the German luxury car maker’s C-Class core series.
As a tribute to the outgoing series, AMG Performance Studio put its hands on a Mercedes SLK 55 AMG to improve its appearance inside and out.
Starting from the outside, the armor of the car was matt black. Then came the wheels in a two-tone alloy that mimicked the contrasting colors of black and red in the interior of the car. Next, the two double-pipe exhaust systems were also painted in matt black. Overall, the exterior of the car appeared in midnight or stealth black.
In the cabin, sporty bucket seats in the SLS AMG Coupé replaced the original ones. An AMG two-tone performance steering wheel was also installed. The surfaces of the interior were covered with matching black Alcantara leather and red pepper made of Designo leather.
The car’s engine was left untouched, so it still packaged the same old 5.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine with an output of 310 kW and 540 Nm.
