Carlsson has a tendency to produce some of the craziest tuned vehicles on the market. The latest project, a Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG, is another example of the aftermarket tuning specialist’s creativity, as a report from gtspirit.com shows.
The tuning specialist calls this car the Carlsson CSK55, which has a set of custom 19-inch wheels, a slightly redesigned front bumper, a new rear lip spoiler and a new diffuser. The Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG was highlighted by the tuner with several fluoro-orange accents around the exterior. The areas where the accents can be found include the grille frame, the front splitter and the side vents.
In addition to the exterior, Carlsson has also improved the interior of the SLK55 AMG. The plush black Alcantara and the three-spoke sports steering wheel were attached to the vehicle’s dashboard. Similar to the exterior, there are also orange accents in the interior. The orange stitching and piping can be found around the interior. The seats are upholstered in orange and black leather.
While the appearance of the SLK55 AMG received a number of improvements, the vehicle’s engine remained unchanged. The SLK55 AMG has a 5.5-liter V9 engine that can produce 421 horsepower with 398 lb-ft of torque. With these figures, the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds.
