If you’ve ever had problems with unpaved roads, climbing, steep serpentine roads and snow-capped ski huts, then the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain is for you. While some conventional station wagons have to give up effortlessly, the All-Terrain of the E-Class does all the work thanks to the greater clearance with large wheels and 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard.
The appearance is striking due to the powerful flared wheel arches and the SUV grille. These styling elements help ensure that the E-Class All-Terrain has a powerful and robust appearance that distinguishes it from the classic station wagon.
It is expected to make its world premiere at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, with a launch in spring 2017. Currently, however, Merc has released its 1:19 trailer showing that the All-Terrain is used in all environments.
Ola Källenius, member of the Daimler Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at Mercedes Benz Cars, said that no E-Class has ever been as versatile as the All-Terrain. It combined the look of the SUV and the intelligent space concept of the property as well as breathtaking innovative safety features and an elegant interior.
The all-terrain of the E-Class will be launched on the market with the newly developed four-cylinder diesel engine and as the E 220 d 4MATIC with an output of 194 hp. A variant with a six-cylinder diesel engine follows. Both models are supplied with the new 9-speed automatic transmission 9G-TRONIC as standard.
Mercedes-Benz has not yet published any price information for the E-Class All-Terrain.
