A new Mercedes-Benz hatchback is on the loose. We believe that the car could be the Mercedes-Benz EQA.A new spy video focuses on one A class-like car is tested. The vehicle appears unmistakably a Mercedes because of its nose arrangement, and although it is hidden by a camouflaged wrapper, the front grille suggests that there is a three-pointed star logo underneath.
The unusual thing about the vehicle, however, is that it is too quiet. A closer look at the back reveals that a crucial key element is missing.
Yes, the exhaust pipe is nowhere to be seen!
These details could only mean that the device is an electric vehicle. Since the EQ lineup was officially introduced with the coming of the Mercedes-Benz EQC the vehicle is likely to be a successor to the new range.
Given the remarkable resemblance to the A-Class and the fact that it is an EQ car, the unit in the spy video above could be the Mercedes-Benz EQA.
However, we also have some concerns about whether or not the EQA will really look like the car in the video (without the camouflage paint of course). It is possible that what we’re seeing here is just a test mule for the EQA. We hope that some of the cool design elements of the concept will continue to be carried by the final version. On the other hand, the EQC was very different from its conceptual shape so this may not be the case.
In summary, Mercedes promised over 268 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque from the EQA. This is not far-fetched. However, we are in doubt whether the company can keep up with its target range of 249 miles.
