Even before the Mercedes-Benz EQS celebrated its world premiere, the manufacturer revealed that it was already working on its high-performance variant. Then spy recordings of a partially camouflaged one Mercedes-AMG EQS surfaced online to further tease the upcoming electric vehicle.
We are still a long way from the official unveiling of the EV, but if we take clues from the espionage tapes, statements from Mercedes and the platform of the car, ElectricVehicleWeb.in came with its artistic implementation. The artist calls it the Mercedes-AMG EQS Edition 1.
Although AMG is no longer alien to electric cars as it already has the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive and the hybrid Mercedes-AMG Project One, the EQ series is completely new territory for them. We were therefore curious to see how it would integrate its characteristic accessories into the EQS, in particular its sporty Panamericana front grille with vertical slats.
Since the EQS does not require a radiator grille, EVW has seamlessly integrated the AMG signature styling using artificial vertical fins. The digital artist has also attached a pair of huge air inlets to the flanks of the AMG EQS Edition 1 to complete the sporty look. Finally, it was given a two-tone paint job with red and gold accents and fitted with light alloy wheels wrapped in sports tires.
Mercedes still pays attention to the performance of the AMG EQS, but we expect it to reach up to 751 hp. That’s good for a run from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3 seconds and a top speed of 155 km / h.
