This is a story that this nurse from Villiers-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) will remember for a long time. An AP-HP employee who was rejected Payment of his “package for sustainable mobility”.
The reason ? “They say you use a bike, but your city is more than 45 minutes by bike from the hospital,” said the rejection letter posted on his Twitter account.
For the HR department of the Henri Mondor University Hospital (Créteil), this employee either uses a different means of transport or has changed his address. It is impossible to cycle 10 km to get to work.
The letter shared on social media sparked an uproar: “The news of the day? Received from the post office… I don’t know whether to laugh or cry about it, ”explains the headmaster concerned.
Posted on March 15 on Twitter, the rejection letter was retweeted 159 times and liked 780 times. Given the enthusiasm generated by the post, the hospital had to resign: “Given the details provided, the confirmation of the address and the sustainable means of transport, the situation is usually resolved. If not, don’t hesitate to contact the informed HR department. ”
What is the sustainable mobility package?
The sustainable mobility package came into force on May 10, 2020. The aim of this measure is to encourage the French to resort to recourse cleaner means of transport. For employees, this flat rate corresponds to an optional payment of transport costs by the employer, which can range from up to 500 euros per year.
