Weistec Engineering surprises us again and again with their work, in which the high-performance cars of the star brand are involved. A few days ago, the tuner published a video on its YouTube channel that shows us what its tuned Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren can do on the road.
According to the description of the video, it took Weistec’s engineers two years to develop the world’s most powerful SLR camera to date. A stock V8 rests in the car, but tinkering with the tuner increases the car’s power to a whopping 922 horsepower and 810 lb-ft of torque.
Weistec’s goal is to achieve consistent and usable performance without compromising the innate potential of the SLR camera. They replaced the car’s compressor with a massive water-to-air intercooler that compliments the car’s stock intercooler to maximize its cooling and performance.
When developing the Weistec SLR biturbo system, the tuner only used high-quality materials such as Inconel steel, stainless steel, aircraft aluminum and ball-bearing turbochargers with billet compressor wheels.
Finally, the SLR was filled with racing gas in order to achieve its optimal performance on the road.
