In early 2021 we were greeted with the unveiling of the new one Mercedes-Benz C-Class Limousine and station wagon. But even before that, we were teased with spy footage of the Mercedes-AMG C63 versions of the vehicles, and the three-pointed star brand had already revealed the cars’ engine specifications. The station wagon was recently back on the road.
The car was spied on by Motor1 again in full camouflage, which somehow distorts our perception of the true shape of his body. However, it’s undoubtedly the C-Class station wagon because of its strong resemblance to its standard Benz model and the AMG C63 we spotted last month.
The most important distinguishing features of the AMG origins of the prototype include the front grille with vertical slats, also known as the “Panamericana grille”, a subtle front spoiler, large air openings on the sides of the front bumper, four-way exhaust trims and a rear diffuser. As with our last sighting, the bikes were noticeably unsuitable.
The performance details of the AMG C63 are pretty rare at the moment, but insiders have confirmed that it will use the same 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine as in the AMG A45, but with an integrated starter-generator (ISG.) And rear-mounted engine.
The setup will give the station wagon up to 550 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, which equates to 47 hp and 74 lb-ft compared to the outgoing Mercedes-AMG C63 S model. That should bring it from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds, which is 0.6 seconds faster than its predecessor.
