A station wagon version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class was captured on video when it was driven on the Nürburgring. It can be seen racing furiously through the endurance lane, which leads us to believe that we are looking at a Mercedes-AMG E63 S station wagon or something else.
Currently the Mercedes-AMG E63 S. holds the flashlight as the most powerful model in the E-Class series. Inside the car is an AMG 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 603 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, which is distributed via a nine-speed multi-clutch sports transmission. The numbers get the vehicle from zero to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and give it an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph.
The spy video uploader claims the vehicle could be a Black Series car as its performance appears to outperform even the E63 S on the track. Autoblog speculated that it could be an E63 R – modeled on the Mercedes-AMG GT R as a notch above the GT S model.
However, Mercedes-AMG had shown no signs that they were building anything stronger than the E63 S in the E-Class station wagon. AMG boss Tobias Moers also indicated in his most recent interviews that it is a new one The Black Series model is not a priority in the current generation of their vehicles.
So it is possible that the car in question is simply a Mercedes-AMG E63 S station wagon with the same engine configuration as the Mercedes-AMG E63 S sedan.
